Built for the current grid
An Instagram photo splitter with current 3:4 tiles
Instagram now supports photos up to 1080×1440 and profile grids display tall thumbnails. The default export uses one 1080×1440 file per tile, while the square option remains available for older layouts and other platforms.
A puzzle grid is different from a collage: one source image is divided into separate posts that visually reconnect on the profile. This page preserves that workflow and shows the visible gutters before you export.
The seam problem
Preview and compensate for the space between posts
Most splitters cut adjacent rectangles and ignore the profile gutter. On diagonal lines, hair, lettering or architecture, the gap can make the image appear shifted. Grid gap correction removes a configurable sliver from the source at each seam so the profile reads as if the gutter covers part of one continuous image.
Keep faces and small text away from seams even with correction enabled. Instagram can change thumbnail presentation, and individual account settings may offer additional crop controls.
